IONPURE is a bacteria and mould-killing
antimicrobial additive for moulded plastic
articles, man-made fibres, composites, silicones, varnishes and coatings.
Silver ions, contained in glass particles, are the active agents. Unlike the situation with standard antibiotics, bacteria are unable to develop resistance to silver ions. Glass as the matrix prevents unwanted greying known from other silver based materials. This required amount of between 0.2 - 0.5% IONPURE has barely any effect on the plastic's material properties. This antimicrobial effect is guaranteed for several years.
