1,2,3-Benzotriazole is a substance based on O-Phenylendiamine with various fields of applications. Among others it is used as corrosion inhibitor for non-ferrous metal for paints and colours; in fields of cooling lubricants, metalworking and hydraulic fluid as well as for disinfectant for metal surface and defrosting liquid. 1,2,3 Benzotriazole is furthermore used as additive in water treatment and as UV absorber in textile finishing.
