HELM AG and Raffinerie Heide GmbH enter into exclusive marketing agreement for propylene
HELM AG and Raffinerie Heide entered into an exclusive marketing agreement whereby HELM will market Raffinerie Heide’s entire propylene production.

The agreement takes effect on the 1st of January 2016 and covers the 50,000 tonnes of propylene Raffinerie Heide, located in Hemmingstedt, North Germany, produces per year.
As Head of Business Unit Feedstocks of HELM AG, Volker Seebeck emphasises the benefits generated for Helm´s customers: “long-term exclusive marketing agreements guarantee sustainable and reliable supply. This agreement together with similar arrangements reinforces our current position and expands the number of different sources of supply in the European propylene business for us.”
Jürgen Wollschläger, Managing Director of Raffinerie Heide GmbH, adds: “Last year´s proactive investments in the quality enhancement of our propylene paved the way for this agreement. We look forward to extending the long standing business relationship between Raffinerie Heide GmbH and HELM AG and to ensure a long-term collaboration in the field of propylene sales.”

About Raffinerie Heide
Raffinerie Heide GmbH is part of the Klesch Group. With a workforce of approx. 500 employees and 30 trainees it is one of the major employers in Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein. The enterprise has a processing capacity of 4.5 million tons p.a. of crude oil, this equals the entire demand for mineral oil in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. The refinery built in 1940 produces classical petroleum products including combustion engine fuels, diesel and aviation fuels. It also produces light heating oil in addition to feedstocks for the chemical industry.
