Certificate of compliance recognition for test facility

Business Unit Crop Protection receives GEP Certificate

Hamburg - June 13, 2014

The Hamburg Authority for Economy, Transport and Innovation (German acronym: BWVI) has certified the test facility operated by HELM AG in the Hanseatic City as being in compliance with GEP. GEP stands for “Good Experimental Practice”. According to the EU Regulation, only facilities that have this certificate are able to carry out biological tests on crop protection products in Europe since their effectiveness studies are officially recognised. Accordingly, the certificate for the business unit Crop Protection has a high status. It was granted for five years and applies to test categories of agriculture, ornamental plant, fruit and vegetable cultivation. HELM AG carries out its tests on agricultural land located in Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.
